So, do you recognize this villainess? She was frightening and scary looking...

....but man she got those kids to pay attention and stop being so naughty.

This was another favorite from Reading Rainbow.

Any ideas?

Comin' atcha we have....

Ms. Viola Swamp from 'Miss Nelson Is Back!' (sorry, when I posted this I mentioned the other book, Miss Nelson is Missing...but it was actually Miss Nelson is Back that I remember)
Blast I should have posted a picture of the book. Google it if you don't remember.
The voices on reading rainbow...oh man.

I had a hard time finding decent pics and this video is not from RR. But it was all I could find. Sorry!

I loved this book as a child! I am so amazed by how you are able to bring to life all of these wonderful stories.

Tess, really!?!?! Did you look up the book on Amazon? It was so hilarious the way they used to read all the voices on Reading Rainbow! I can still say, "Missss Nelsssonssss Misssssing" to my sister in this one voice and she'll crack up. It's branded into our brains forever! I'm going to check youtube.

Renee, YEA! Thanks so much, it's fun to connect childhood memories with friends!

I am absolutely loving this post, you've practically recreated the characters - so unbelievably accurate!
The kids are adorable too, very cute! :)
Love your blog, as always.

I had a teacher who dressed up like her every year for Halloween.
You look great, even when making a grumpy face.
