Sing the Body Show Last Night.

This is what I's one of the lucky finds at UO. last weekend for my b'day. (I still can't believe I snapped it up for $10!!!!)

This is my serious face. ;-)

This is my friend Eric. He is amazing, and an artist....and an amazing artist. He happened to be in state (from Chicago) because of some very sad circumstances (his grandpa is not well) so I was sad he HAD to be here but so happy he was able to find time to come down so I could see him.....we get pretty goofy... you can see....

...I told you.

I did NOT know they made gummy octopi!!!

Garage Voice accompanied by Adam Pasion.

Bruce, the bassist for GV playing fork drums with The Kidlet.

Us and Garage Voice (From the left, Patrick, Bruce, The Kidlet, The Mr., Me, Tommy) You probably can't tell but The Mr. has the word Mustache written on his finger. Hee hee.

Last night we were blessed with the opportunity to play with some lovely bands that were made up of lovely people. It was pretty awesome. We met Tommy, Bruce and Patrick of Garage Voice from up in Seattle and came away in awe. Adam Pasion, Jeffrey Conway, and Joey Vannucchi (of From Indian Lakes) were all fantastic as well. There was a great turn out and everyone seemed to enjoy the hootenanny!!!

There were issues with the always.

Ick. If anyone happens to have an electric 21 Chords Auto Harp they want to dispose of PLEASE, I beg of us. Getting an electric would cut our sound check time in half and we wouldn't have the moments of feedback in the middle of all of it...agh. Sigh. We finished recording the EP and instead of having regular practice tomorrow afternoon we are going to just sit down and finally work out all the logistics on what we're going to do about the album....AND WORK ON WRITING NEW STUFF! (FINALLY, we get to use the Ukelin and Marxophone!!!)

If you haven't heard of Adam Passion or Garage Voice PLEASE go check them out...AMAZING! They may be touring in a town near you soon!

(psssst.....There was talk last night about another show with GV in April...and maaaybe some collaboration. Egad.....I'd die of happiness....though if it happens I'll probably throw up out of nervousness too. They are sooo talented!!!!!!!!!!!)

Hope you had a lovely weekend as well!!!
Pray tell, what'd you do?

Lovies and leggings,

PS. Thank you to those that came out last night and showed us love even though sound check took fooooooorever. :-)

My b'day and the coast...

Top: Thrifted
Skirt: Handmedown
Shoes: Thrifted

Top: H&M
Jeans: Old Navy

Little Him:
Hat: U.O. clearance
Sweater: Thrifted
Pants: Thrifted
Shoes: Thrifted

The best Urban Outfitters EVER!

Sunsets in unpolluted areas are blue, not orange...who knew!?!?!

That's my Big Sis....isn't she lovely???

How I love that bog huck of rock!!! (I meant big talk about typo)
(All of our coats/jackets/sweaters are thrifted items.)

The Mr's outfit...
Jacket: U.O. Clearance ($10!!!)
Pants: H&M

I am a sucker for moss.

Dress: U.O. clearance
Sweater: Handmedown J.Crew
Shoes: Thrifted
Bow: made myself

So the morning after my party with family and friends (which went super late) we got up (entirely too early) packed and drove to the coast. Lovely Morro Bay and San Luis Obispo...aaahhhh! The Big Sis and Brother-in-law and The Kidlet's Cousin accompanied us and we had a swell time playing in the surf (ahaha, get it, swell, surf, ocean heh heh...never mind) getting sandy, reading, drawing (I wrote thank you notes) shopping, eating (Thank you Firestone Grill!!!)

The birthday fairies were kind to me and when we went to UO. I found the most delightful items on clearance!!! It was pretty awesome! I've never been so happy with my wardrobe as I currently am right now!!!

The weather reports were forcasting showers all day Sat. but when we arrived we found it to be perfect coastal weather, chilly-ish in the shade warm in the sun with a few drifty clouds. Then it said the next day would be raining all day but it proved to be just an overcast cloudy day that only rained later when we left for home (icky to drive in)

I had a splendid time and it turned out to be a marvelous weekend and a wonderful and unforgettable birthday.

If you ever make it to San Luis be sure to check out their Urban Outfitters, Booboo Records, and the stationary shop Paper'll die at the beauty (and some of the prices...sniffles) but you can find some things that you can afford as well as some great ideas for things you can make yourself.

Hope your weekend was equally lovely! What did you do?

Lovies and lumberjacks,

I'm off tot he coast with my dearyloos for my b'day (I firmly believein dragging out b'day celebrations for as long as possible.)

Last night was a wee get together with family and friends....

I am so overwhelmingly blessed.

I will post more later but at least here you can see my b'day dress. (I ran out of time to hem it so it had scraggly threads hanging down all evening, but you get the idea. I didn't get the other elephant sewed on either, ....basically, it's a work in progress.

Have a delightful weekend filled with all the loveliness you can handle.

I'll Follow the Sun

The Kidlet and The Cousin.

And my Big Sis...

Dress: Target (The Mr. surprised me with it last week!)
Pin: Vintage (I need to get a better pic, it's a girl bowling!!!!)

I almost dropped it!!!!

This pumpkin has survived since OCTOBER!?!?!
I'm not sure why I'm smelling it..or whatever...

Seeing as it's supposed to rain again this weekend the Big Sis and I took our Kidlets out biking again. I wore a new dress (Thank you Target!) that The Mr. bought me for Valentines Day (he absolutely spoiled me this year...gadzooks!) We biked to a nursery nearby and were a bit bummed to see that nothing much was blooming yet. Oh well, got some great shots with the kiddies.

For those of you sharing in this lovely weather, how have you been spending your time? For those of you still in snow....I've never lived in snow....what do you do!?!?!?!

Lovies and lip-synching,

ps. It is officially my birthday today. I'm not sure how I feel about it.
