In a rare appearance, The Mr. joined me for a woeful little love song that is a favorite of ours for many reasons.
1. It's adorable.
2. I can play it (kind of) on my banjolele
3. Patience and Prudence were charming.
4. Most importantly, he has a man crush and I have full blown girl crush on Steve Martin. He and Bernadette Peters do this song much better than we do and we love them for it...and many other reasons.
5. Not on the list of reasons why we love the song but in need of carrying the importance of being numbered is this little tidbit...
I will fight you if you speak ill of Mr. Martin. The man is a genius...at many things...not just comedy. I mean honestly, have you HEARD him play the banjo? Stellar.
Heavens, what on earth does this Steve Martin tangent have to do with Valentines Day?!?!?!?

eeep!! My mom LOVES Steve Martin and I grew up watching The Jerk (amongst many other "censored" inappropriate Steve MArtin movies LOL!)and I remember loving this scene <3 This makes me want to watch with my husband as I'm realizing we never have seen it together!
Ooo, yes indeed you must go out and rent it as soon as possible! It's so amazingly funny! Siiiigh, I don't know why he is so tasty to me, but he is!!!
