Busy Bee Me!

Apparently, when I run...I look like I have chicken wings. Bah-gaaawk!

I want to bite their faces I love them so much!

These are my end-of-winter-white legs, they are my favorite accessory of the moment.

Thank heaven for BooBoo Records!

So the last month has been super busy with many random things. Easter, spring break, finishing the CD, getting asked to be in more music projects, shows....on and on.

So there you have it, pitiful excuses but they're all I've got and all I've been doing.

I am now singing in 2 other projects besides Sing the Body and I'm supposed to sing for yet another one in the next month or so. Yikes! Our town must be really scarce on female vocalists if I'm what people are having to use. Oh well, I feel bad, like these other bands deserve better but at the same time I'm so excited to get to work on these amazing projects with such talented friends.
This last Sunday a friend stopped by and said that he had an emergency and needed me to sing with him for a show on Tuesday, we practiced a bit then and there, again on Monday with the other guitarist/singer and then again on Tuesday right before the show....all things considered, I think it turned out really well and although I was nervous it was still fun. The friend's name is Matt Bedrosian check his stuff out, it's lovely! (and no, even though I took the camera I didn't get a single shot!!!)

We are trying to finish up the packaging for the CD, it's just an EP but our release show is at the end of the month, Matt Bedrosian, Garage Voice, and Stereo Substance are playing with us and at least one member from Sing the Body will be doing at least one song with each of the other bands so it will be a night of collaboration!!!

Oh, and the pics I posted are from our trip to the coast again for The Mr.'s spring break. It was only a day trip, all we had time for, but still lovely. The morning we left it said it was supposed to rain, but by the time we got there it was pure blue skies and loveliness the rest of the day.

I promise to try to post more soon.

(For instance.....photos from the Yann Teirsen show....you may think you don't know who he is, but if you ever saw Amelie then you are familiar with his work...he composed the score!!!)

I'll Follow the Sun

The Kidlet and The Cousin.

And my Big Sis...

Dress: Target (The Mr. surprised me with it last week!)
Shoes:H&M
Pin: Vintage (I need to get a better pic, it's a girl bowling!!!!)

I almost dropped it!!!!

This pumpkin has survived since OCTOBER!?!?!
I'm not sure why I'm smelling it..or whatever...

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Seeing as it's supposed to rain again this weekend the Big Sis and I took our Kidlets out biking again. I wore a new dress (Thank you Target!) that The Mr. bought me for Valentines Day (he absolutely spoiled me this year...gadzooks!) We biked to a nursery nearby and were a bit bummed to see that nothing much was blooming yet. Oh well, got some great shots with the kiddies.
For those of you sharing in this lovely weather, how have you been spending your time? For those of you still in snow....I've never lived in snow....what do you do!?!?!?!
Lovies and lip-synching,
-K
ps. It is officially my birthday today. I'm not sure how I feel about it.
Black and White Wall Hangings
As of late I have found myself to finally be able to use the random scraps of paper, the bits and pieces of this and that, the things that I save and say, "I could use this! It would be irresponsible to let it go to waste!!!" The Mr. nods lovingly never saying a word but I KNOW he's thinking, "Yeeeeeah, we have a craft closet and garage FULL of things you THINK you might use someday yet you NEVER do!" But he is always gracious with me and let's me have my little stashes here and there and my ambition that MAYBE someday my pack-ratting will pay off. Darling that he is!
And now (drum roll please) his patience with me, and my hope for actually being remotely creative finally paid off. I've put a man on the moon! Well, more like I made a present for a friend using scraps I saved from other friend's and my own wedding invitations, but hey, finally proving to myself that I CAN indeed be useful and be less wasteful and such, it feels nice. I know it's silly but maybe, just maybe this is a faint glimmer of hope that all the other crap I have saved here and there will be put to use and I won't end up smothered underneath piles of saved National Geographic Mags eaten by a plethora of cats at the age of 90. I read an article in Reader's Digest once (my mother subscribes and when at her house I can't help but read it sometimes) about savers and such and it scared the crap out of me. I promptly came home and got rid of loads of stuff.
Why is my brain so weird?
On that comforting note ;-) I bid thee goodnight.
Lovies!
PS. The kidlet was rather fond of this garland as it was covered with birds... the sound of "BUR, BURRR" filled the house as he tried to run off with it to his room. (I fear he is a scavenger like his mum, DOH!)
Bubbles and words.
The kidlet has been obsessed with bubbles lately....as well as bugs....and unfortunately for me he says both words the same "buuuuuuh...piece!" And I have to guess if he's asking for me to get the bubbles please or come look at a bug please. We need to work on more sign language.....the words he can sign are now intelligable enough for me to understand but all the new words are coming in droves and a lot sound alike and others sound nothing like the real word. Help, for instance sounds like "Oh" and we're moving into a new time of frustration with him not being able to convey what he needs or wants. Oy....we shall see what happens.
I'm so sorry to say that I am not sure where a lot of these pics came from. I've "collected" them from here and there for a while so I am sorry that I can't give you a "for sure" link for each one. I do know that I got quite a few of them from peacelovebellavita.blogspot.com/ so please check her out, she has LOVELY stuff!
