Lazy Saturday and Sunday
Actually this weekend proved to be as busy as usual. Farmer's Market, errands, Church, lunch with friends, house cleaning, BBQ's and movies. Busy, but lovely and I even got a nap in! ;-)
I am, as you can see, quite taken with the twinkle lights we put up for MTB's baby shower last week and have been taking loads of blurry (my camera is crap + I have no photography skills) but I don't care, I love them just the same. They feel like a bearable summer evening of memories.

Ethereal whimsical exquisite....
My cousin is getting married to one of our best friends in about 4 months. I am so very ecstatic for them and I have white ethereal dresses on my mind. This is one of those situations (like so many) that I suddenly wish I had tons of money just so I could buy stuff for someone else. She tried on the most exquisite dress that was $1000 (ooo, on sale for $750) might as well be $10,000!!! She was so absolutely stunning in it but sadly won't be able to buy it. She is so very ingenious though, I can't wait to see what she sews/alters and how one of a kind awesome it will be. And if she doesn't, it won't even matter, she's so beautiful she could wear sackcloth and she'd still be stunning! Sigh.....

Down the Rabbit Hole....
And so it begins!
The 3 Amigas!
Best Cheshire Cat ever!
I was particularly proud of those flamingo straws.
Mr. M snuck in for a piece of cake, which he earned with all his help in the table and chairs department.
I'll have you all beheaded!
Prom 2009
The aftermath!
The Glowing Mum-to-be!
Off with her head!
Down the rabbit-hole we went and what an event it was!
Gee whilikers, we had ourselves a blast! Mum-to-be (MTB) was attired as the Mad-Hatter and she was adorable and glowing! The MTB's sister (who helped put this shin-dig together) came as Alice and stylishly so. She is one of those people you just want to continuously eavesdrop on because EVERYTHING she says is hysterical and said with such animation you find yourself in stitches on the floor! The MTB's best friend (to whom we owe much gratitude for helping make this happen) came as the White Rabbit and was so classy and fashionable in her white ears that she put all Playboy bunnies to shame. I myself went as the Queen on Hearts and my own sister came as the singing flower garden! We had ourselves quite a time!
There were several other Alices, another Queen of Hearts, and a Cheshire Cat, brilliantly attired! The food turned out great (croissant sandwiches, fruit salad, a crudite platter) the drinks were phenomenal (lavender cream tea, peach tea, raspberry zinger, mint tea and strawberry lemonade) and the desserts were pretty as well and tasty (lemon petit fours, chocolate cake with raspberries and palmiers)
I hope that everyone enjoyed themselves as much as I did. The planning, preparing and clean-up were a breeze and everyone's help greatly appreciated!
Can hardly wait for the little sprout to get here month-after-next....WEEEEEE!
