Leisurely day...

The Mr. got a hair cut!
Shirt:H&M
Pants Old Navy
Shoes: (the $10 walmart ones)
Red Sweater: Thrifted

Kidlet
Shirt:Thrifted
Pants: Old Navy
Shoes: Thrifted (NEVER WORN!!!)

I told The Kidlet to "go stand like Daddy" and he totally mirrored him. Hee hee!

Hat: U.O. Clearance
Sweater:Handmedown (JCrew)
Shirt: U.O. clearance
Pants: U.O. Clearance (yet another of my lucky birthday finds in S.L.O)
Shoes: Thrifted

So the other night The Mr. said his eye was bothering him...upon closer inspection we discovered it was swelling. We waited a couple more hours and it got worse. We did hot compresses and it started to bring the swelling down but he had to call a sub for work the next day. It ends up that the school policy makes him have to take a certain amount of time off when there is an eye issue so, although he was basically fine I got to have him off for TWO WHOLE DAYS! We spent time, napping, reading, writing and biking to Echo Street Coffee where my lovely friend from The Cat and the Cow works with her family! Aahhh, it was a lovely couple of days and it was hard to let him go back to work.

I hope you have been having an awesome week....what have some of you lovely people been doing? Spring break is coming too....what are your plans?!?!?!?

Lovies and Lackadaisical Days,

-K

Thanks Kate! Um, people tell us The Kidlet is cute!!! I don't know what to say other than, "we think so, but we know we are biased!"

Tess, Thank you too! I couldn't believe my good luck when I found the Mother Load of awesome clearance items on my b'day trip! WEEEEE!

Chloe, so nice of you to say, I see so many blogs that are so stunning or have such awesome things to say I feel a bit inferior so thank you for the encouragement! And as for the kidlet, "yeah, we think so, but we know we're biased!" ;-) Hee hee!

Mel, my friend Allie (her blog is thecatandthecow.blogspot.com) gave me the sweater! I couldn't believe she was parting with it! I've worn it at least 4 days a week since then!

I hope all you lovely ladies have a perfectly splendid weekend! And if you are Thrifting, may the shopping fairies be with you!

You have such an adorable family. Those pants you are wearing are amazing. How old is the "kidlet"?
We are going to Mendocino and Humboldt county for our spring break.

Thank you ladies!

Lisa, I went and looked at your blog and asked you waaaay too many questions. Sorry ;-/ (He's just over two) Your blog is lovely! And I just realized that I the same thing on one of your pics, "adorable family!" hee hee, I didn't mean to copy you, but it's the truth, your family is stunning! Have fun on Spring break! WEEEE! I think we're going to try to get to San Luis Obispo again.

Sarah, we have been having torrential downpours for a couple days, freezing cold, then a week of 70 degree blue sky days and the cycle repeats itself. It's been all over the place but personally, I LOVE it. I've been able to wear spring, fall and winter clothes depending on the day. It's been bugging some people but I think it's fun. (I am a coat obsessed girl living in a town that gets to 110 degrees in the summer so I try to cling to winter as long as possible.
