Hat: UO Clearance
Dress: Neighbor's moving away yard sale
Apron: Thrift store
Shoes: UO Clearance
Ok, so she has a full apron and pink flowers on her hat, she has a blue purse and mine is red and she's carrying a pie and today I'm making gluten-free sourdough pizza but that is still a pie...ish...
other than that I'm pretty pleased with the relative accuracy of the outfit.
I loooved her books as a kid!!!
Here are your hints,
four things I remember from her stories.
1: She was asked to prune the shrubs.....so she took a box of prunes and stuck them on every twig.
2. She was asked to draw the curtains....her sketch of them was quite accurate.
3. She was told to dress the chicken for dinner....the outfit she picked out for it was adorable.
4. She was told to dust the house.....by the time she was done with it every surface was covered in dirt.
Got it yet?
Ah Amelia...how I still love that name.
BEEEHOLD!

I did actually recognize this one! :)
YEAAAA! Way to go Tess! I'm having so much fun with this series and even more fun seeing how many friends read the same kids books! WEEEEE!
I need to track them down now. At least Caps For Sale for The Kidlet!
Hey ! I finally guessed one!
Okay, I loved her as a kid, but have you read it out loud recently? Can you say Amelia Bedelia three hundred times fast? :)
Haha I knew it was Amelia Bedelia! Gosh I used to love those books so much, they made me laugh so much!
I can't wait to see your Eloise outfit interpretation! And no I haven't watched Pushing Daisies but I've been wanting to start (just not enough time).
Hello! Thank you so incredibly much for your lovely comments, it was so sweet of you and incredibly reaffirming! Especially when coming from a wonderfully creative woman like yourself, by the looks of it!
Yes, I definitely look up to Sufjan Stevens, as you may have seen on one of my posts. Also, I'm sorry, I have absolutely no idea which film the stills of Zooey Deschanel are from!
Now, I really must stop talking about me me me. I am now in love with your apparent whimsical charm, this outfit is just wonderful and I love how you can relate it all to a book. You're so incredibly imaginative and also talented, I love it!
That's me done for the time being, I'll definitely be back for some more. (Apologies for this monster of a comment!)
Chloe
YES YES YES!!!! I love it!!!! I LOVED these books too!!
Shelly! NO kidding!!! That is a tongue twister! Although it reminds me of being in theater and having to work on saying things like "red leather yellow leather" to work on our enunciation.
Mel, I understand being super busy but whenever you get a chance you MUST watch it. For the clothes alone if nothing else. So inspiring! So heartbreaking that it was canceled...and that Ned, boy howdy, talk about eye candy! Le sigh!
Chloe, I LOOOOOVE getting long comments, I leave them for people all the time and then feel really awkward and wonder if the person I commented to is thinking, "yikes, talk much?" I don't know what the proper etiquette is in comment leaving, short and sweet? comment under the persons comment or comment back on their blog...not sure, so I'll leave this one here and just keep going back to yours and enjoying all the loveliness on your blog! THANK YOU!!
oh yeah....Sufjan!!!!! SIIIIIIIIIGGGHHH!
My darling Alliekins, we MUST get the next series ready for our blog collaboration. I can't wait! WEEEEEE!
THE BEST BOOKS EVER!!! (other that Harry Potter) lol great post! You captured her perfectly! I give you an "A" lol :)
This one one of the first books I ever read. I love that you're making me remember these books I've completely forgotten about! And your dress is so darling.
Cute! I don't know the book, but I love what you're wearing and how you've linked it.
I'm interested in your gluten free sourdough pizza. Do you have a recipe?
x Jasmine
I thought it was Miss Piggle Wiggle. :P I have the need to revisit my childhood books. Would if be weird if I started checking out books in the kid section of the library?
Sara Lynn, an A!?!?!? Yippee skippy! THANK YOU!
Meggstatus, seriously, it's been so fun to see how many other girls now and love the books I know and love!
Lavender's Green, they were such funny books, she was the housekeeper or something like that and always did exactly what she was told and took everything literally in EVERY story! She was quite endearing.
Stephanie, I actually don't know who Miss Piggle Wiggle is and NO not weird at all! DO IT! ;-)
These are fun posts. This one is adorable. What a great idea!
Apologies for the double comment, but thank you so much for your lovely comment on my blog!
I would love that recipe whenever you get around to it :) I'm amazed that the souring process removes the gluten from the bread - this could open up a whole new world of food for me! I am allergic to wheat/gluten, dairy, soy, lettuce, pumpkin, sweet potato, carrot, chilli and cranberries (haha, it's not as bad as it sounds, I do manage to eat a fair bit of food!) - so I am forever searching for wonderful tasty delights! :D

this is sooo fun!
I'm new to your blog (came over via Quintessentially Quirky), and I love what I see! What a fantastic, fun idea for a series of posts!
